World War

On November 3rd 2015 year 6 were lucky enough to have 4 special visitors come in from Fairlop waters talking about what happened during WW1 and WW2. First we were told about a life of a little boy that lived through WW2. The little boy had to live through lots of different challenges including bombing. Secondly we met an ex student of JB in the 1940s, and had experienced many difficulties such as evacuating from his family. He was one of the first 30 children in JB. Imagine the school you are in right now over 60 years ago. In the field behind the concrete there was once a missile, a massive missile! All the children in JB were evacuated from Hainault all the way to Exeter, over 300 miles away, wow that's a long journey. He had to leave his family and his family had to leave him.

Our 3rd visitor was an ex soldier of WW2 and had many fine experiences such as bombing parts of Germany and fighting for his country and stopping us from today having to speak German. Afterwards we had the privellege to ask lots of questions. It was a great experience for all of us.
Thank you visitors.
