Think about where you were at the time of the disaster...
Were you sleeping? On the deck? Having your dinner? Working? Playing games?
What did you see? How did you feel? What did you do? How did you react? What could you smell?
We look forward to reading your accounts and sharing them in class

DeleteI (Captain Smith) was playing with my computer. Suddenly Frederick warned me that the iceberg was ahead of the titanic.I got frightened and angry at iceberg as it was real. i told Frederick to tell Robert Hitchins to turn the wheel to the left. I walked to every cabin and told the to get ready because the iceberg was ahead of the titanic. the people was in panic after i told them that. without warning there was a crash. I got panic-stricken but without me telling anyone life boats were ready and jackets got passed on to every-one. some were saved but while others were not there was no time left but there was there was a lot of time to die...
ReplyDeleteWell done Mehul I really enjoyed reading your description. Do you think computers were invented at the time of the Titanic?

ReplyDeleteI was eating my dinner when I heard Charles Lightoller's frantic screams, 'ice, ice'! No one knew what was happening until we heard the shouts 'iceberg'! The ship began to rock and shake. I was very scared. There was such a mad rush to the lifeboats that I was taken aback. Then I realised that there were not enough lifeboats for everyone! I thought I would die!
I couldn't believe it when I saw some people refusing to get off the ship! Some of them were brave who wanted others to get into the lifeboats and others thought that the ship was unsinkable!
Avi
Super emotive writing Avi, I really enjoyed reading this.
Deletei was on the ship playing when i heard everyone screaming iceburg iceburg, i run over to my mum and dad and said that i was scraed then i felt a big bang. my mum said that the ship had hit an iceburg and was sinking, i see lots of people running around the ship screaming trying to fit on one of the life boat with my family. i could see people falling off the ship into the very cold water and was scared. me and my family was one of the lucky ones to get saved from the ship and got on the life boat.

Deletewhile i was sleeping at night we didn't know that there was a ice berg around as soon as it got closer we noticed it was to late i was petrified the titanic ship sunk we had to go to the life boat we hurried to the life boat.By Joshua Elamparithi
ReplyDeleteWell done Joshua a good start to using emotive writing. Could you add some more detail. Where were you sleeping? What did the iceberg look like? How did people react? What thought crossed your mind?

ReplyDeleteI was in the my cabin playing snakes and ladders but suddenly I felt a huge bump at the bottom of the ship and I fell off my chair. At first I thought it was just a big wave but then I noticed that water was leaking into the ship and the floor was ripped by a giant iceberg. So I ran away out of the cabin and and quickly ran up the stairs and quickly I grabbed my tape knife and quickly cut the rope that was holding the lifeboat then I ran back downstairs and told my mum and dad that the ship was sinking.so we ran back up the stairs and jumped into the life boat and sailed away.
This is great Mikael a fantastic description, great word choices and sentences. Well done!

ReplyDeleteWhen my dad and mum were sleeping and I was playing on my 3DS XL,the Titanic wobbled and was sinking I tried to call my mum and dad up but they did not get up so I sprinkled some water on them till they got up when they did I grabbed them and all 3 of us jumped onto the lifeboat while the other people were jumping onto other lifeboats too,all of us were saved!!!!!! it was very frightening for all of us and we thought we will not make it to the lifeboats but Captain Smith was very helpful and helped everyone to go off the ship.... I always remember Captain Smith as an angel who saved all of us.
But I always keep thinking... "what would have happened to Captain Smith?"
"Did he make it to a lifeboat?"........
A good description of how you might have reacted on the night the titanic sank. Did the 3DS XL exist back then?
DeleteNo miss.Cheek I was just imagining :)
DeleteMrs Cheek, some of these descriptions are so fantastic I think they need to be displayed somewhere!!!
ReplyDeleteWell done 3Ch!

I am a child,
ReplyDeleteWhen I was playing games with my family, the titanic wobbled and all of the things wobbled when I heard Frederick Fleet shouting "iceberg, iceberg!!!". Me and my family rushed out and saw the gigantic iceberg in front of us. The iceberg was white and shiny like a diamond and it was enormous. I knew the ship would sink because I saw the Titanic collide with the iceberg and made a big hole. I was terrified and I wanted to go on a lifeboat and my family felt the same. There was 1 lifeboat left and we got on the the lifeboat but where is Captain Smith? I was wondering where he was but he is still on the ship and sinking. This had never happened to me but I am still worried about the other people who now are sinking.....
