Today we learnt about Amazing Nelson Mandela.He was born in 1918 and he died in 2013 5th December. The reason we learnt about him is because he is an extraordinary person and brought peace to the nation of South Africa, but he went into prison for 27 years and sent to jail twice, for protesting against a prejudice called apartheid which means white people could not make contact with black people.He tried to protest against this and that is what caused him to go to jail. This also caused many black people being killed in South Africa.Would you like to be in this situation? To commemorate this as tables were given white pieces of paper or black pieces of paper. Then we cut them out and put what we would like to change about the world on the hand.
Nelson Mandela was the best president... The first black president in South Africa.But now he has gone.
